Giving new life to patio furniture is so gratifying! The joy of customization combined with repurposing is what makes it great. The first photos are a friend’s set that I did a couple of years ago. And the before and after photos are a project that I just completed for myself. The cushion inserts were still in excellent condition, but the covers were super faded and mildewed. The new fabric from Fabricland is waterproof, weather and fade resistant, and was 60% off! I reused the zippers even though they aren’t red hehe. Hardly noticeable! Our patio is now perfectly and purposely custom designed 😊

Awhile back, I had the pleasure of being commissioned to do some sewing for a new tea room that was going to be opening on Ottawa St. The job expanded over the months from tablecloths and napkins, to the latest (big) project of custom aprons. During this time, I developed a special friendship with the owners, Marissa and Keith, and shared in their excitement over the decisions and meticulous details of creating not only a successful business, but realizing a dream. Being an entrepreneur myself, we definitely connected on this front! Annie Mary’s Tea Room has officially been open for a few months now and is living up to every aspect of their passionate planning. Not only is the decor stunning, but the tea and the food is beyond stellar. It was the perfect place to take my beautiful grand niece, Clara Jeanne, for her 7th birthday!

This was the most challenging project and took a lot of thinking, planning and patience. I haven’t made clothing from a pattern in quite some time, so thought I would take it on! This was made from fabric, brought as a gift to my customer, from Dubai. To make the pattern work with the fabric, which had 3 different designs, I had to get very creative! It wasn’t easy, but I love a good challenge and even more than that, I love a happy customer (which she was!)
