Just finishing up a traditional septic for a good friend and his family. The old saying if it ain’t broke don’t fix it definitely apply to these traditional systems. They are super simple and they just work! Using only gravity this design is more budget friendly and will last 50-100 years if installed correctly. The downfall is that getting one of these designs permitted can be very difficult since you need a lot of usable land to meet the new industry set backs. For this reason the majority of our clients have no choice but to do a high efficiency system that requires less room but unfortunately comes at a higher cost. A little pic of this nested o pipe before backfill. One huge advantage to these systems in that you can drive over them with equipment! Because you have a pressurized line supplying the effluent evenly through the bed you get even distribution and as long as your coverage is 1.5 - 2ft you can backfill with equipment. Great for the installer and for the home owner in future scenarios where maybe they drove something they shouldn’t on the bed. #2024
