This is Daunt Books in London — and every time I visit, I think about why it feels so different from most rooms people live in. It’s not the books. It’s the intention behind every decision. The warmth of the wood. The way the light comes through the skylight. The sense that someone cared deeply about how this space would feel, not just how it would function.

The clients I love working with most want exactly this for their homes. Not a showroom. Not a catalogue page. A room that makes them want to stay in it.

That’s the work. And it’s never really about the furniture.
