JD
Jun 25, 2008- May 28, 2026
We are heartbroken to share the passing of one of our beloved kitty clients, JD.
The last few years were not easy for JD. He had been living with diabetes for many years, requiring twice daily insulin injections, and more recently, kidney disease. Through it all, he handled every shot, medication, and treatment with grace and patience, making it easy to care for him despite the challenges he faced.
JD was the sweetest boy, loving, trusting, and endlessly gentle.
He loved his routines, especially his famous “tub time.” Fellow cat people will understand! We would run the tub slowly so he could enjoy endless fresh drinks, and while he relaxed, he happily accepted plenty of brushing. It was the perfect combination and made cleaning up cat hair much easier. That was JD! Always finding a way to make things a little easier.
This business is deeply personal. We are welcomed into our client’s homes and trusted with the care of their beloved pets and their homes. It is a responsibility we never take lightly. Over time, strong bonds form with the animals in our care, especially with long time clients like JD and his late brother, Kofi.
We sadly said goodbye to Kofi last year, and we like to think he was waiting for JD on the other side. We imagine the boys reunited once again; chasing birds and mice, running pain free together.
It has been our absolute honour to care for these boys over the past 10 years. We loved every minute of it, even the difficult moments, vet visits and emergency care.
A special thank you goes out to their mom for inviting me to visit the day before and giving me the opportunity to say our goodbyes. It was incredibly hard, but so grateful for that precious time.
We are sending all our love and hugs to JD’s family and friends during this difficult time.
Until we meet again, JD, our sweet, sweet friend.
Rest easy!
*The month of May wasn’t kind to us for pet losses. After almost 20 years in business it NEVER gets easier. People always ask what the hardest part of having a pet business is? THIS is it!

It’s National Hug Your Cat Day!!! 😻
Yes, some kitties may definitely be overwhelmed with hugs and feel uncomfortable. However there are some kitties who also LOVE it and can’t get enough of it, like my boy Kahlo.
Linkin absolutely hates it and the feelings of restraint and confinement. Jack it slowly getting used to them. Quinn was such a snuggle bu**er and miss him so much.
Do you hug your kitties? Do they hug and snuggle back? Or does your kitty avoid it at all costs?
Here’s a few pics of snuggling with Kahlo & Quinn and a few of our kitty clients, Cody, Benny & Lady Jane Grey.

Twitch
February 3, 2016 – May 4, 2026
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved client Twitch.
Twitch and her feline siblings have been cherished members of our WP family for many years, filling our days with love, laughter, and companionship.
Though she was blind, Twitch never missed a thing. She always seemed to know where her siblings’ food and treats were, was quick to join in playtime, and never hesitated to show a little bit of her spirited personality.
Twitch’s determination, curiosity, and unique charm brought joy to everyone who knew her. She shared a special bond with her feline family and was deeply loved by all who cared for her.
We like to think that her sister, Stormy, was waiting for her and gently guiding her on her journey home.
Twitch will be greatly missed by her feline siblings Cody, Norma, and Esther; her human parents; and her extended family, neighbours and friends.
Sending you all lots of love during this difficult time.
Forever loved, forever remembered.
Until we meet again, my sweet friend. 💔
