It isn't law yet, but there seems to be no opposition and just a couple more hurdles to go. We need to start thinking about how this change should be communicated to the public. Education will be another challenge.
This Bill WILL save lives. Call 911 during an overdose emergency - regardless whether you have Naloxone or not. Naloxone is meant as a bridge to keep you alive until medical assistance arrives and can get you to hospital.

The Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act may have helped so many kids from an untimely deaths. I am thinking of Austin tonight - who's mother Christine Padaric who advocates on behalf of harm reduction.
Bill C-224 cleared the Senate today with awesome amendments, but is not yet law. It will hit the House of Commons soon. Share or like this post please.
Bill C-224 | openparliament.ca This enactment amends the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act in order to exempt from charges for possession a person who seeks emergency medical or law enforcement assistance for themselves or another person following overdosing on a controlled substance.
