✨ A wrap on the 2024 Waterloo iGEM project BovEco at the Grand Jamboree in Paris, France! ✨

While we didn’t take home an award this year, we’re incredibly proud of the journey we’ve taken to develop an innovative solution to reduce methane emissions from cattle.

This year has been nothing short of extraordinary. From receiving funding grants and hosting Waterloo’s first large-scale biotechnology conference, Biosynphony, to visiting dairy farms and designing our wiki, our 51-person team has gone above and beyond to make this project a success. 💡🐄

The Grand Jamboree gave us the chance to present our work on the global stage, connect with teams from around the world, and exchange ideas with stakeholders, researchers, and industry leaders. We’re inspired by the amazing projects we saw and the feedback we received.
