Last night, Words Worth Books was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Arts Awards Waterloo Region. This special event was held at the Clay and Glass Gallery to celebrate local arts, artists and art organizations. We are SO proud and humbled (can one be both?) by this award and it feels that much more illustrious given our 40th anniversary celebrations this year. We are deeply grateful to our nominators, the nomination committee, the Academy of over 100 people who decide on nominees and winners, and the Board of Directors at Arts Awards Waterloo Region. It is incredible to reflect on and be acknowledged for the *thousands* of authors and events we have hosted and co-hosted in our 40 years in this Region, supporting local authors and local literary festivals. And we could not have done it without the unwavering support of our customers and friends who insist on helping make this Region a literary landmark. 🎉
