I’m not the “Let’s go look at pretty houses together” type of agent.
I’m the type of agent who is with you through thick and thin, through the trenches and in it for the long haul. It’s easy for this industry to make things look glamorous from the outside.
Pretty pictures of perfectly staged homes and videos of agents telling you their “top reasons why you will love this house” are not reality. Sorry- they just aren’t. Those things do not capture the reality of the process of finding your new home. The top reasons outlined are the highlight reels. They tell you that the house is open concept, with 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms and a double car garage. Oh, and there are wood floors… no kidding. They didn’t mention that the roof is ancient, the drainage is faulty and the toilet overflowed once while they were on vacation and leaked all the way down from the top floor to the basement.
The truth is, it takes time. It takes patience. It even takes several pairs of socks sometimes (IYKYK). That’s the long haul.
