Resilience isn’t just about surviving life’s toughest moments, but about finding the strength to keep moving forward, even when everything seems to fall apart. In this article, I share a personal story of grief, recovery, and rediscovering hope after unimaginable loss. Life threw me unexpected challenges, including the sudden loss of my son, and later, the global pandemic that forced us all to slow down. Through this journey, I learned that resilience is not about ‘getting over’ hardship—it’s about finding ways to heal and keep going, even when it feels impossible. My hope is that this story inspires others facing adversity to take one step at a time, embrace the healing process, and trust that the strength to keep going is within them.

All three of these young professionals are in their final weeks of public relations at Conestoga College. Over their intern period, we will be gearing up for the KW Womens Show and KW Pet Expo. We have something fabulous coming your way! 😎 The KW Women’s Show being hosted on March 21 and 22, 2020 at Bingemans, is now accepting applications for ten women in the Waterloo Region to participate in the Fearless and Fabulous Women’s Search and Fashion Show. There is no cost to apply. Ten women will be selected to receive a complimentary makeover, which includes make-up, hair, health and fashion services by local experts. They will also participate in the fashion show with GEMINI Models to showcase the latest fashions of local retailers. Amazing gifts will be given to each participant all generously donated by our sponsors. For showing that they are fearless and fabulous and inspiring others, one of the ten participants will be voted audience choice award and will receive a $500 donation to a local charity of their choice. We are looking for diversity in all shapes, sizes and ages!
