It's chicken time!

3rd Waterdown's chicken fundraiser is now underway, and runs until April 4. Please contact your local member of 3rd Waterdown Scouting to place an order or reach out to us via social media. Orders can be picked up on Wednesday April 22, 6pm-7pm at Sealey Hall (115 Main St South, Waterdown).

3rd Waterdown Scouting remains an inclusive part of the Scouting movement and welcomes everyone. While some scouting organizations outside of Canada have been forced to imposed eligibility criteria, that is not the case in Canada. Scouts Canada welcomes members of any ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, family composition, or religious/spiritual affiliation.

This weekend our youth will be out handing out apples and looking for donations. 100% of your donations stay local with 3rd Waterdown to support our youth program.

The venturers, rover and scouters returned yesterday evening from our canoe trip on the Gibson MacDonald route.

Battling headwinds and shallow water, taking detours, experiencing equipment failures, improvising replacements, losing personal items, finding campsites without thunderboxes, and meeting people camped on the portages, it was much more challenging than we had thought it would be.

We ended our trip with an overnight at Six Mile Provincial Park, with a much enjoyed steak dinner cooked over the fire.
