Warman Fire Rescue

Attention City of Warman residents. Warman is hosting a Multi-Jurisdictional Search Exercise (MJSE) training weekend here, so you may see lots of Search and Rescue folks in orange from across Saskatchewan in the community, and more police/fire presence than normal. There is NO EMERGENCY or danger. All will be wearing ID, none will enter yards or homes without permission- but may pass out information in some south side neighbourhoods at your doorstep. We are simulating a response to a tornado for training as part of the SARVAC HWF national response program. Take care.

High School Grad Night City of Warman! There will be a parade this evening 730-830pm roughly, so some temporary road closures and the dog park will be closed at 8pm tonight for fireworks. If you want to watch fireworks you can from near the Highschool on any street as long as not impeding traffic. If it’s cloudy it might be loudy but we can’t control that. Our Members will be shooting the show and driving trucks in the parade to show our support. Take care!

Beautiful night for live fire training at our Regional Training Facility- smoke, fire and rainbows! This facility is really coming together with Warman, Martensville and Saskatoon as partners , working and training together regionally is a great thing for the future!

Shortly after 6pm Friday we responded to reports of a structure fire on Redwood Crescent. On arrival 2 homes were engulfed in flames with high winds pushing the 50ft flames unpredictably. 2 other homes were on fire as well as burning material on 4 other homes roofs and melting siding across the back alley on 2 detached garages. 17 Warman Firefighters with 7 apparatus and 3 master streams initially attacked the fire, joined by trucks and crews from Osler Dalmeny and Martensville who fought incredibly hard along side. Only the 2 initial homes were lost, no fire got into any of the other structures involved thanks to the aggressive attack. Fire was not suspicious and all people got out safely, and all firefighters were uninjured but exhausted. Terrible loss for those 2 families that lost their homes but fortunate more were not lost.
