Looking to volunteer and make some friends?
We are hosting a Volunteer Meet and Greet on Wednesday July 29th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at the Festival Hub - 2A 1609 Blanshard St. This is a fantastic opportunity for prospective volunteers to ask any questions about this year’s festival, familiarize themselves with the sign up process and volunteer hub, or just chat with Fringe staff! This is a drop-in evening, with no future commitment required. Bring a friend, share some snacks, and learn a bit more about Fringe!

Halley's Comet returned last in 1986, the year of Victoria's First Fringe Festival. Since then, we have put on 40 festivals, and by the next time she returns in 2061, 75 Fringes will have passed on by 💫

Halley's Comet passes by every 75 years, but luckily Victoria's Fringe Festival happens Every year!

Join us for Victoria Fringe 2026, as we enter our 40th year! Over the forty years, thousands of volunteers have helped to make this festival possible. We could truly not do this without the generosity and kindness of those in the community who lend us a hand in any way possible.

Fringe is powered by over 150 volunteers per year. Our volunteer positions include: ushers, line concierge, button sellers, program distributors, and more. Some perks include seeing some awesome shows, a free Fringe t shirt, and much much more...

Want to help us out in other ways? we are also currently looking for billet hosts. Hosts adopt-an-artist for a couple of weeks, giving them a place to rest their heads to prepare for their next day of Fringing!
