The genus name Ranunculus is Late Latin for "little frog" (the diminutive of rana). This probably refers to many species being found near water. Blooms are short lived but provide a vibrant pop of color early spring. Deadhead regularly to continue blooming.

Also, I'm now booking for spring cleanups and gardening lessons!

Hanging with Hellebore. Also known as Lenten Rose. Excellent for shade gardens that see more moisture. They grow naturally across Europe and even in areas of China.

Nature is my go-to inspiration for garden planning. Observing how it reclaims man-made spaces, like this stunning Camassia field, is a treat. These natives are drought-tolerant, self-seeding, and pest-resistant. Plant them a year in advance for fully developed roots, and enjoy their towering spires and vibrant colors the following spring!

I apologize for the lack of updates on this page, as my business was in a temporary hiatus while I was leading the Lowe's/Rona Garden Centers as their coordinator. Now that my contract has ended, I am eager to dedicate more time to sharing my knowledge of gardening through individualized lessons on designing and maintaining your dream garden.
