Great progress at the Bath House project!

We’ve started work on what we call The Pavilion — a custom extension designed with eight structural posts instead of the usual four. This design choice helps prevent deformation and ensures long-term stability.

The posts are crafted from reclaimed timbers that were carefully stored for several years. We're incorporating traditional framing joinery alongside laminated beams for a solid and visually striking structure.

In the final photo, you can see how we secured the posts using custom stainless steel post saddles. Precise dowel locations were marked and drilled to make sure everything is locked in and level.

Prepping before the concrete pour at the Bathhouse Project! 💪🌧️

We protected the stunning Douglas firs with custom octagonal barriers 🌲 and had Ocean West Tree Services expertly excavate the pour zones. One form error was caught and corrected with precise measurements 📏. With rain in the forecast, we added poly to the exposed exterior to guard against rot and protect the structure 🛡️🏠.

"The Challenging Retaining Walls"

Perhaps one of the hardest tasks at the Bathhouse project was the installation of the curved walls. These required a series of vertical relief cuts that helped the pieces of wood bend. Not only did we have to do this for every panel of the wall, but we also had to secure the wood so that it would stay secure during the concrete pour. After a final inspection, we got it done.
