Meet Jamie!

Or perhaps you’ve already met Jamie while visiting our building — for one of our community programs, LifeLabs, UPCC, HerWay Home, or simply while passing through our lobby.

Jamie is our resident mannequin and, without question, one of the best-dressed residents of James Bay. Every outfit comes straight from the Community Closet — our second-to-none clothing thrift store.

And honestly? Jamie turns heads. Every single day, dozens of people stop to admire the outfits and ask where they can get them. The answer is simple: you can shop the looks right on the spot — and discover even more treasures at the store itself.

Visit the Community Closet Tuesday–Sunday, 11 am–4 pm, inside the shopping plaza at 435 Simcoe St. Expect boutique-level service, unique and stylish finds at wonderfully affordable prices, and the comfort of knowing that every purchase directly supports JBCP’s free community-based programs.

And yes… if you were wondering: Jamie is named after James Bay, the community we’ve proudly called home for more than 50 years. Jamie has become such a local celebrity that there were even a couple of attempted kidnappings over the years.

Now the real question is: what will Jamie wear next time?
