It's essential to know:
βœ… the minimum safety equipment required on board your boat;
βœ… what Canadian buoys look like and what they mean;
βœ… how to share waterways;
βœ… a review of regulations that relate to pleasure boating; and
βœ… how to respond in an emergency.

Join us Friday, Apr 4th and Saturday Apr 5th at Trotac Marine (Jutland and Gorge Road East) for a flare return! 8:30am - 5pm on Friday and 9am - 5pm on Saturday.

πŸ“… Save the Date – Our Volunteers Are Gathering Expired Marine Flares! Safety Equipment Education and Flare Disposal Days are back and we’re inviting boaters to drop off outdated marine flares for neutralization and safe disposal, free of charge.

While distress flares are essential safety equipment for Canadian vessels, disposing of them remains a challenge for many boaters, particularly following the recent discontinuation of government funded disposal programs.

That’s why CanBoat / NautiSavoir, with support from the CPS Foundation and CIL, is taking action to bridge the gap between the necessity of flares and the lack of safe disposal options for boaters by funding up to 25 flare disposal events this year.
