“This is fantastic news that the IOC has agreed that coastal rowing will be included in the Dakar 2022 Youth Olympic Games,” said FISA President Jean-Christophe Rolland. “Coastal rowing is critical to our strategy to expand the sport to new and diverse countries, many that do not have suitable rivers and lakes. The exciting nature of coastal rowing will also fit perfectly in with the style and brand of the Youth Olympic Games.”

Coastal rowing goes to the 2022 Youth Olympic Games Coastal rowing is about to get a whole lot younger. The International Olympic Committee has announced that coastal rowing will feature at the 2022 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) to be held in Senegal.

Hey world coastal rowers - you are invited to Prince Edward Island, Canada!
Rowing PEI is excited to announce that the regatta package is now available for the Red Island Regatta 2019, on the beautiful Brudenell River.
The regatta includes 1,000 metre sprint events in the morning, a 2.8 kilometre coastal race in the afternoon, finishing up with, for the first time, a 500-metre beach sprint featuring head to head racing in coastal doubles - adding even more excitement to the mix.

Entries will open July 16th, 2019 and close August 16th, 2019 at midnight (one week before coaches meeting).
