On September 30, we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day — a time to reflect on the history and lasting impact of residential schools as we live and work on the traditional, unceded territories of Indigenous peoples. This day honours the children who never returned home, the survivors who endured, and the families and communities who continue to heal. The orange shirt stands as a symbol of all that was taken and a reminder that Every Child Matters — then, now, and always.
