We celebrate the cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and recognize their ongoing impact in our communities.

We acknowledge that the Greater Victoria area is on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) Peoples—including the Songhees and Xʷsepsəm (Esquimalt) Nations—and the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples.

Today is a time to listen, learn, and continue building respectful relationships.
