Clover Point parkrun #383
July 1st, 2026
Thank you to our 153 participants for celebrating Canada Day with us today. We were joined by 11 first time parkrunners and a further 32 running our course for the first time, including tourists from the UK, Scotland, Germany, China, Washington DC, Michigan, and across Canada. Welcome to all of you. Shout out to Alex Cahill from Michigan, who joined us midweek in between completing Beban Park last Saturday and Courtenay Airpark on the 4th.
We’d like to send special congratulations to our regular participant (and today’s First Time Welcome volunteer) Mike Lagadyn, who completed his 100th milestone this morning. Way to go, Mike! Further congratulations go to our 18 participants who recorded new PBs, and first finishers Adam Alexander Young (with speedy pup) and Natalia Seal in 17:37 and 22:21 respectively.
Lastly, a reminder that parkrun is entirely run by volunteers. Thank you to today’s wonderful volunteers Andrew WATTS, Brian CONNON, Camille TITTLEY, Elly GAGNON, Guy SURTEES, Helen BELL, Jeannette HERNANDEZ, Jennifer CARTWRIGHT, John WRIGHT, Karen SEYFFARTH, Mike LAGADYN, Peter MORGAN, Sean MITCHELL and Valerie NEDUHA. If you’re interested in volunteering at an upcoming event, just drop us a line and let us know what you’d like to do, and we will get you set up. It’s that simple!
We will see you again on July 4th as we return to our regular Saturday programming. And happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦

Clover Point parkrun #382
June 27, 2026
Well...today was eventful, that's for sure! We had a record 181 participants on a sunny but slightly breezy last Saturday in June. We were joined by quite a few visitors and first time parkrunners - thanks for joining us today! Special congratulations go out to John Wright for his 200th and Janet Pryer for her 50th milestone - well done to both of you. We'd also like to congratulate first finishers Tyler Yep and Jessica Berta in 17:59 and 21:50, respectively.
Exactly how many out of towners and first timers did we have, you ask? Weelll...about that. It seems we had a minor snafu with results uploading, and a significant number of completed barcode scans were lost before they could be uploaded. That means that quite a few results are still showing "unknown". So, if you participated today and didn't get your results email, please email or message us with your finish position (if you know it) and your finish time, and we will do our best to slot you in at the appropriate spot. And sorry, you can't request 15:25. 😆
Our favourite shutterbug was bored with his better half in Malta, so we've got a huge batch of photos for your viewing pleasure at the link below. Free to download and share, but please credit when you do. Thank you!

Thanks to our wonderful volunteer team Anne SHACK, Brian CONNON, Camille TITTLEY, Carl BROWN, Chris WILLE, Giselle URBAN, Jeannette HERNANDEZ, Joseph CAMILLERI, Karen SEYFFARTH, Karin RASMUSSEN, Katie BENNETT, Mary Jane HENDERSON, Mike LAGADYN, Mona MCCLELLAND, Peter MORGAN, Sean MITCHELL and Tania BLACK - if you'd like to volunteer at an upcoming event, drop us a line and let us know when and what you'd like to do and we can sign you up. It's that simple!
Last, but most certainly not least - join us Wednesday July 1st for our special Canada Day parkrun! Same time and place, but on a special day. Red and white attire is encouraged but by no means required. Hope to see you then!

Good afternoon everyone,
Regrettably we experienced an issue with today’s results, and approximately half of the scanned token finishes were lost. This has resulted in a significant number of “unknown” results.
If you or someone you know participated in today’s parkrun and you don’t see your name in the results, please send us an email with your finish position and/or time (if you know it, approximate is fine) and we will do our best to slot you in.
On behalf of the event team, our sincere apologies for the mixup - our volunteers are human, and sometimes stuff happens!
Thanks,
Sean Mitchell
