I'm going to start digitally scanning unique real world objects more regularly. This is an example from last year. Hopefully I can find some more locations around Victoria. Let me know of other interesting spots you would like scanned.

This is a model from last year but I am using software to add trees and people. Experimenting with different techniques to help bring these scans to life.

Kinsol Trestle Bridge - NIRA 12/07/2023

The Kinsol Trestle Bridge, located in British Columbia, Canada, was built in 1920 as part of a rail line. Once one of the tallest wooden trestle bridges globally, it facilitated timber transportation. Abandoned in 1979, it was later restored and reopened in 2011 as a pedestrian and cycling path, showcasing its historic significance.

This 3D model is showing very impressive results for such a complex structure. Take a look!

This is a “Merlin” by Seagull. They are a Canadian company and this little guy was my travel companion. I really enjoy the sound. I have been testing out different software with different objects to figure out a workflow. This model was created using Reality Capture.
