Learn about Capital City Paving Ltd's new repurposed aggregate!
We partnered with Capital City Paving to build a comparative lifecycle emissions analysis that quantifies the avoided emissions from their aggregate washing process compared with conventional quarried aggregate.
This project included:
♻️ Calculating cradle-to-gate emissions across two parallel scenarios: repurposed vs. quarried aggregate
🚛 Mapping and measuring all key emission sources across both processes, from transportation and material handling to crushing, sorting, and on-site processing
📊 Translating the findings into a per-tonne functional unit to create a consistent, credible basis for comparison
This study provided Capital City Paving with data-backed evidence that their product is the lower-carbon choice.

📣Upcoming marine webinar alert!⚓️
As green corridor designations multiply and alternative fuel vessels move from concept to contract, port authorities face a defining strategic choice: wait and adapt, or move early and lead.
Hosted with Moffatt & Nichol Engineers Corp, this webinar focuses on what ports can do: how to position themselves as poly-fuel hubs that attract vessels, energy partners, and long-term investment. Drawing on real-world examples from corridors already underway, this session gives port leaders a practical framework for phased infrastructure investment, stakeholder alignment, and regulatory positioning.🛳️
