I enjoyed this little bunny themed invite to play this morning and my favorite part was how Beau interacted with it in a way I was not expecting!

I had put out funnels and scoops, carrots and eggs - which have always been a hit previous times we played with this set up. BUT something unexpected and cool happened when he went to the other room to his play kitchen and grabbed a brush and spent a ton of time brushing the lentils into the holes.

We've played with this insert all month and this is the first time he chose to interact with it this way. Super cool progression to witness. He's making choices and thinking about what he is doing - early metacognition.

I look forward to using this insert again and again for other themes and activities like pairing it with our 10 frame, forest and Spring garden set ups and more. How else would you use it? Please comment below and share your ideas!

Five second set up with our activity helper insert, Dollar Tree cookie cutters and some Orbeez! I needed to keep Beau busy while I get lunch ready.

💕Tips and tricks!💕

1) If you have furry family members like we do run the vacuum quickly around the play area to pick up the pet hair. That way if some items escape the table it's clean and easy to simply third them back in.

2) I used an exacto blade to cut down the funnel spouts to make the holes wide enough for the Orbeez! This is also great for larger bin fillers like beans.

3) I keep my Orbeez in the fridge after I open them.
