At DMC, we don't just recognize National Injury Prevention Day on July 6—we recognize it every day.
Today simply serves as a reminder to raise awareness and reflect on something we all share: preventing injuries is not the responsibility of one person, one crew, or one department. It's everyone's responsibility.
Before any task begins, our commitment to safety must already be there. It influences the decisions we make, the hazards we identify, and the actions we take when something doesn't look right.Speaking up, taking action, and looking out for one another are what injury prevention is all about.
Because at the end of the day, injury prevention isn't defined by a date on the calendar—it's defined by the choices we make every day to protect ourselves and our teammates.

DMC’s Vice President, HSEC, Andrew Goodey, visited our Chile operations with Safety Manager Esteban Zúñiga to spend time with our teams and gain firsthand insight into our ongoing work, including new projects in Tierra Amarilla, Atacama.

Being onsite allows leaders to understand conditions directly, see how work is being executed, and identify challenges early so teams can manage risks and maintain safe, efficient progress.

As new crews join our projects in northern Chile, these visits help reinforce DMC’s culture, values, and safety expectations from the start. They also strengthen alignment across teams and ensure the same standards of safety, leadership, and operational excellence are upheld across all DMC operations.

Reinforcement plays a critical role in maintaining safe and stable underground operations. It is demanding, highly technical work – the kind of challenge our teams are built for.

Over the years, DMC Mining Services Chile has developed solid, hands-on experience in complex rehabilitation works across some of the region's most seismic and geologically demanding environments. Our teams deliver consistent, high-quality results applying industry-leading methods, maintaining zero-harm standards, and adapting quickly when ground conditions require it.

This expertise has now been recognized by Lundin Mining through the award of the Reinforcement Works Project at the Candelaria Underground Mine.

The scope includes specialized ground-support systems — reinforcement, scaling, and structural reconditioning to strengthen existing workings.

Lundin Mining ha reconocido esta experiencia al adjudicarnos el proyecto Servicio Re-Fortificación en Candelaria UG.
El alcance del proyecto incluye inspección y diagnóstico geomecánico, el retiro de roca suelta mediante acuñadura, la instalación y/o reposición de sistemas de soporte como pernos, mallas y shotcrete, así como el reacondicionamiento estructural de sectores degradados por vibraciones sísmicas o deterioro operacional.
