ne of the biggest myths in dating is that all the interesting, active, attractive people are younger.

They’re not.

Take a walk around your neighbourhood on a sunny day.

You’ll see people in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond walking their dogs, cycling, travelling, staying fit, learning new things, spending time with friends, and living full lives.

Yet one of the most common things we hear is:

“People my age seem old.”

The funny thing?

The people they’re talking about usually say the exact same thing.

Age tells us very little.

Energy, lifestyle, values, curiosity, attitude, and how someone shows up in life tell me much more.

Stop being so quick to judge someone based on a number.

A little less ageism and a little more curiosity would go a long way.

Stop focusing so much on finding someone younger.

Start looking for someone whose life genuinely fits with yours.
