😳 Wowwww Kingsgate Mall, so it’s like that?? I guess a line has been drawn in the sand 😤
This mall has always been a place where dreams come true❣️ It’s the most perplexing building in East Van - how is it still standing in the year 2025?? It is a real testament to what you can accomplish if you stand your ground in the face of adversity 🙌 A beacon of hope for the denizens of The 604™️ (aka Vancouver) 🌎
💓 We have spent many minutes dreaming 💭 of popping a wheelie in front of the Virtual Reality place ☝️, maybe pumping our tires at that coffee kiosk where everyone plays the lottery 🤑 or perhaps even doing some jumps by the furniture rental spot 🛋️
Life is hard for a cyclist!! I guess we now know where we are not welcome though 😓 If there are any malls that will allow us to live out our cycling dreams, please drop a comment below 🗣️
What do yall think about this latest shopping mall policy change?? 🫨

Whether you showed up as a panelist, an artist, a volunteer, a contributor, or an attendee, you all made the event as incredible as it was and helped raise as much as we did ($3,245 is incredible!!!), so thank you deeply.
Also, thank you to for hosting us and helping out with sound, projection, and everything technical related to the event.
Thank you to for taking such wonderful and rich photos of the event.
Thank you to for creating the beautiful design for the poster and the shirts.
Thank you to the artists for contributing their art and time.
Thank you to for donating coffee.
Thank you to the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm and səlilwətaɬ peoples, and the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh sníchim-speaking Sḵwx̱wú7mesh peoples. We were grateful to have had the space for this event, but acknowledge that we received no explicit permission or welcome, and that our event happened on unceded land.
And finally, thank you to the people of Palestine, and thank you to the . For inspiring us with their resistance in Occupied Palestine, all while living genocide, apartheid, and occupation. For inspiring us to find pathways of resistance in our own lives; in cycling, transportation, activism, art, and beyond.
We encourage you to find your own way to resist the oppressive and hierarchical structures under which we live.
You can find the breakdown of the funds we raised and the proof of the donations at thebikekitchen.ca/resistance (also in the link in our bio).
