The more we judge our journey and reject our 'imperfections', the less we have to learn. How interesting would we be, if our lives took a straight path, no challenges, twists or face-plants? Perfection is a pity...where can one grow or go from there? Resolve to be resilient, willing, courageous...with humour as your ally. We came here to be human, remember?😉

When toxic people are healers (medicine mistaken for poison) | Carrie Mallon 01/03/2018

I like the way this author explains this; our reaction to people who irk us. In my approach we don't avoid or run from our triggers. Self-inquiry into why we feel a certain way, what is 'coming up' for us is valuable information, providing a powerful opportunity to develop our strongest, best self.

Everyone is a reflection. How we see and react to someone gives us insight into parts of ourselves we may be disowning; parts we would rather not face.

Sticking with this inquiry can reveal to us the 'weakest links in our chain'. It is possible to become rooted in ourselves, resilient and less rattled by others. Otherwise, the world becomes a landmine to tiptoe around, avoiding people and triggers, when really they are within us, just waiting to get ticked.

To heal into sovereignty, we need to take responsibility for our own triggers.
