If you're feeling annoyed, nervous, sad, angry, upset
or any other emotion that you define as unhelpful,
please do this simple exercise to change your state quickly. Please see below if you wish to be guided through the technique. :)

Our goal here today, now, is to feel GOOD or at least neutral.
We can deal with pretty much any problem a lot better
from a feel-good state.

I will demonstrate it now, and I invite you to do it with me or after the demo.

Recently I got pretty frustrated and sad due to an argument, mostly because of my own reaction to it. At some point, I decided that the frustration I felt was really unhelpful and unproductive, so I did this technique and I wiped out the yucky feeling in under 10 minutes.

The first step in this technique is to think about the situation that prompted that feeling in the first place,
Notice where this sensation starts.

If you pay close attention, you'll probably notice that it's moving.
Now, imagine that you take this sensation out of our body and see it moving in front of you.

The next – optional, but useful – question would be - is there a color or a shape that goes with the "yuckiness"?
There is no wrong answer here!

Maybe there's even a sound that goes along?

Now, speed it up for a couple of seconds. You'll notice that the feeling becomes more intense or changes in some other way, which is actually a good thing! It means you're tapping into it, you're gaining control.

And next, slow it down, to the point when it... eventually... stops...
and now you can spin it in the opposite direction!
Notice how this already starts to affect your emotional state

Spin it faster
and faster still
if you imagined a certain color, at this point it most probably changed, didn't it?
If not, imagine the color YOU want!
Add a nice sound to it, if you like.

Now, to make it ridiculously effective, add a funny sensation - you know, the one you have when you're trying to keep a straight face,
but you're thinking about something ridiculously funny, and it's almost impossible not to laugh -
maybe one such situation is coming to your mind right now, isn't it?
When it's inappropriate to laugh, but you simply can't help it.
Those moments when you just couldn't stop laughing
and keep spinning.

Spin it for a few more cycles, and then pull it back into our body.
You can keep it spinning inside and notice the change that is taking place while you're doing so.
In the end, you can also add some shaking as it's a natural way for our body to get rid of stress.

And finally, tune into your state. How are you feeling now?
I hope you feel better!
From this better state, you can take better decisions and feel energized to overcome stuff and pursue your dreams!
