CBC recently reported on the living wage increasing in BC, and in particular, reaching $27/h in Metro Vancouver: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/living-wage-report-bc-2024-1.7388982. A living wage is what each of two parents must earn to support a family of four where they live. Living wage estimates account for the cost of housing, transportation, grocery prices, and child care.

The German Institute for Global and Area Studies - GIGA just released a new report on research that included one of our surveys. We had a fantastic time working with Lisa Hoffmann and Julia Köbrich and were excited to read the report!

The aim of this survey was to understand how to bring about lasting peace between different religious groups within the same region. The research showed the importance of personal connections such as friendship and inclusive thinking. Happy STEM Day!

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, and was created to encourage students to explore their abilities and consider a career in the four areas. Some programs add an A for Arts so that STEM becomes STEAM, acknowledging that many aspects of the arts, such as creativity and design, are often incorporated within STEM fields. Data science is an important part of STEM, especially because it is built on mathematics, and we are always eager to see individuals advancing the field.
