Award season is in full swing, and we're excited to announce two awards in Marketing Effectiveness at the Summit International Awards 2025.

🏆 Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario's new campaign, smaller classes, BIG DIFFERENCE advocates for smaller class sizes, won platinum for Education Marketing.

🏆 des Pompiers de Montréal's campaign, À Quel Prix? helped highlight the importance of the challenges Montréal firefighters face. The campaign won silver in the Public Service/Advocacy category.

Two different campaigns. Two very important causes. Congratulations to our winners! And thank you for letting us be part of it.

On what would have been his 70th birthday, we’re thinking of Ian Reid today.

In loving memory of Ian, a scholarship in his name was launched last year in partnership with the Douglas Coldwell Layton Foundation. The Ian Reid Scholarship is awarded to post-secondary students committed to working in politics and pursuing careers in opinion research, strategy and communications. It seeks to encourage greater racial, cultural, economic and gender inclusion around the decision-making table, including 2SLGBTQ+ people like Ian. We miss you, Ian.❤️

Our wonderful colleague Joanne Deer, NOW’s Partner and VP Creative & Strategy, is retiring from her award-winning career in Canadian advertising. While we couldn’t be happier for her, we’re going to miss her... A LOT!

Joanne has been synonymous with NOW since she joined us in 2012. Since then, she’s been working non-stop to deliver winning campaigns for our clients across Canada—campaigns to improve people’s working conditions and pay, learning conditions for students, and public services for everyone. Besides her amazing career moments at NOW, Joanne is one of the most open-minded and adventurous people we know. She never stops learning new things, making big moves, and lifting up the team around her. And after years of working flat out, she’s ready to make some major life changes—trading in her advertising pen to put two hands on the tiller to sail and train to become a Yachtmaster in the UK.

From all of us at The NOW Group past, present, and future… Thank you for everything, Joanne. ❤️
