Introducing our third judge for our Youth All Female 7-to-smoke category, our sister, Momo!!!💫🥳💎

Momoko “MOMO” Shimada is a Vancouver-based artist focused on street dance, blending breaking and house with influences from ballet and contemporary dance. Born in Tokyo, she discovered street dance during university and developed a dynamic, hybrid approach. She contributes to Vancouver’s community through Diamonds In The Rough crew, Hoodz crew, and by organizing classes that support learning and connection. Motherhood is central to her practice, with her son joining her at events and battles.
In 2025, she won One For The City Open Style crew battle in Edmonton with Diamonds In The Rough and also won a breaking crew battle in Vancouver with Hoodz, highlighting her commitment to community and creativity.

Introducing the first judge for our Youth All Female 7-to-smoke category, our youngest sister in the crew, Baby Diamond 💎 ✨

Maya Apasara aka Baby Diamond, is a Vancouver-raised street dancer specializing in freestyle and battling. She trains in a number of street styles, with a strong focus in Hip Hop and Popping. Maya has experience training under crews such as Megabots, A3 District, and Higher Ground. Her dance journey has taken her around North America and Asia to compete in battles and further her knowledge in street dance culture. As a proud member of Diamonds in the Rough, Maya is passionate about empowering and inspiring other young girls in her community. She is also the founder and host of Step into the CypHER, an all-girls youth battle and fundraiser. We’re super excited to have our sister join us as a part of our judges panel 💕
