IM4 Media Lab

To kick off our Black Canadians in Creative Tech highlight series, we are starting with IM4’s very own Technical Director Davis Heslep! Davis is an integral part of IM4 and has extensive knowledge in Digital Media Arts Workshop Facilitation and a range of creative tech areas including 360 Capture, MAX/MSP, and 3D Immersive Animation. In addition to the previously mentioned exhibitions, Davis also worked on Shemanshe and the Thunderbird Mural displayed by IM4 at Signals Creative Tech Expo.

We are so thrilled to announce our friends over at GEMS Vancouver are having their 21st Annual International Film Festival, GEMFest! 🎉

Join us from March 5-8, 2026, at VIFF Centre, downtown Vancouver, BC. GEMS will be showcasing an incredible lineup of short and feature films made by women and gender-diverse filmmakers from around the world, and hosting industry
events.
