Taken last night outside the Orpheum on Smithe st. I ended up locking my bike up across the street after seeing a good 7-8 bike racks within that block FULL of bikes.

We always talk about how easily parking your bike is one of the big benefits when it comes to cycling. But your city has to have those spots to safely and securely lock your bike to for it to be “easy”. We are fortunate that these staples racks were every 3 metres right beside the protected bike lane on Smithe st in Vancouver BC.

I honestly wasn’t mad that I had to cross the street to hunt for a bike rack. I was happy to see so many bicycles locked up and around ❤️ and I still beat my friend who drove by a good 10 mins.

Do you lock up downtown? I used two strong locks and took/hid as many accessories (like my lights) that could be snagged off the bike.

Do you know what a quick release skewer is? And do you have them on your bike?
