This Canada Day, we're celebrating more than our country.
We're celebrating 40 years of proudly representing Canadian artists. When Expo 86 welcomed the world to Vancouver, Art Works Gallery opened its doors with a simple belief: that Canadian art deserved to be celebrated, collected, and shared with everyone.
Forty years later, the world has returned to Vancouver once again - and they're falling in love with our city, our landscapes, and the incredible artwork created right here in British Columbia and across Canada.
Our anniversary exhibition, Encore, celebrates four decades of remarkable artists, unforgettable moments, and the collectors who have helped write our story.
Because great art, like a great encore, deserves another standing ovation.

For the 40th Anniversary Show at Art Works Gallery BC, Enda Bardell presents a vibrant collection of framed colour works that celebrate her distinctive sensitivity to light, atmosphere, and the expressive power of colour. Through carefully balanced compositions and luminous palettes, Bardell invites viewers into moments of reflection and visual delight. These works exemplify her ongoing exploration of colour as both subject and emotion, contributing a dynamic and joyful presence to this milestone exhibition.
