With an unstable family life, Black took on the responsibility of caring for his siblings at a young age. When this eventually took a toll on him, Black began his crime cycle. When released, despite his willingness to work, he was often overlooked due to his parole status and lack of certifications.

When Black joined Mission Possible, he quickly noticed improvements in his confidence, communication, and leadership skills. Black has now secured a role as Clean Team Lead, guiding associate teams safely down the Hastings Street route, one of the busiest Clean Team contracts.

What a beautiful day in the Downtown Eastside! ☀️ Thank you to everyone who joined us for Mission Possible's 5th Annual Community Clean Up Day!

Together, we collected 60 bags of garbage and raised over $12,000 to support Mission Possible's Employment Readiness Program - helping more folks like Johnson find a renewed sense of dignity and purpose!
