CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS 2019/20
We are currently seeking submissions for our 5th issue!
Any current UBC undergraduate can submit a research paper to Logos. Authors do not need to major or minor in CNERS, and papers do not have to be written for CNERS classes, provided that their content is relevant.
This year, we are welcoming students to submit a personal essay that shares their experience in CNERS and related fields, with the goal of promoting more self-awareness and self-criticism in Arts programs. Appropriate topics include, for example, firsthand experiences in language classes, fieldwork, or lab work, and how your identity has impacted and been impacted by your pursuit of an Arts degree. The maximum word count for submissions is 3000 words.
The deadline for all Submissions is Friday, January 10th. Submissions should be sent to [email protected].
Each paper must have an abstract between 150 and 300 words in length.
Papers must be a minimum of 1,000 words in length (maximum of 5,000 words).
Please review the full submission guidelines, available on our website.
Diversity and inclusion are core values for Logos, and we actively promote them in our submissions process by considering the institutional barriers and discrimination faced by some students. Please include a description (maximum 50 words) of any such barriers you face on the basis of race, gender, faith, orientation, sexuality, or language.
For any questions, please contact [email protected].
