Move Deeply
In the practice of Dance as Medicine, water is the first element we work with. Water is the container for all the other elements. When we are feeling stuck, due to emotions rooted in fear we are being called to connect with water.
To flow with water is to flow with life. Just as a river carves its path through the earth, we too can carve our path through the noise and chaos of life.
Dancing as water can be stormy, or it can be serene. The dance is a journey to help return to our centre, to our intuitive sense.
My own healing journey has been guided by the elements, long before I even realized how much impact they were having. Entering the world of somatic dance along the Dance as Medicine path is what awakened me to this connection.
As a guide and teacher, I am grateful for the opportunity to transmit these teachings in person and online. If you are curious about moving deeply with the elements, I invite you to follow me here or sign up for my occasional community newsletter.

This is my second intuitive card reading as a new aspect of Move Deeply Wellness. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have been! this reading includes activities and and a playlist. 🎵 The medicine of Mandrake and Hare 🐇 are working together here to tell us it’s time to be open to some magic 🪄 while tending to our roots. The mandrake has powerful medicinal roots that were once carried as amulets by ancient Greeks and Romans for luck, much like the “lucky rabbit’s foot.” Luck feels akin to magic, so I think what we’re meant to be open to here are the synchronicities and moments that make us pause and wonder. 💭
That said, sometimes getting carried away with the ideas of luck and magic can lead us to become disconnected from reality. Mandrake and Hare advise us to remain rooted in ourselves and remain focused while being open and curious.
👀 Suggested activity: Go for a walk alone with the intention of being a passive observer, like a tree, taking in your surroundings. Imagine….[continue reading on substack - link in bio] 🔗

What are your favourite medicinal plants to work with? Do you grow medicinal plants for self care?
🌼 last year I planted several medicinal plants. This summer they are starting to provide. Red yarrow, calendula and lavender featured here. I’ve been drying calendula since the spring and have enough to make an infusion now 🎉
