Vancouver!
I'm switching identities and putting on a release show for my new Golden Age of Wrestling album. Full electronic, full synth pop. Tons of flexing, attitude, and maybe a powerbomb from the stage into the audience.
It's on Thursday Feb 12 at a secret (but beautiful) new venue in East Van, close to Clark and Venables. I'm organizing the show by myself, so please grab a ticket and tell your friends! Space is limited.

Hello Urthlings.
It's been a brutal battle this past year, feuding with my cocky, evil alter ego The Golden Age of Wrestling. The spotlight clearly isn't big enough for the both of us.
If you like instrumental music - specifically film soundtracks, video game music, and experimental beat music - please keep an eye out for my new TGAOW album, which I announced this morning. It comes out on February 12, 2026.

And I also released a new video this morning for the lead single - it's in the comments section.
Oh and thank you Exclaim for including it on your most anticipated Canadian albums of 2026 list 😳 So crazy!

☻️ YEAR-END POST ☻️ 2025 was a pretty wild one for me. On paper, it was a success - I released a new album, played a lot of shows, and met some really cool people at festivals. If you contributed to any of that, then thank you!
Behind the scenes, my year was ...a rollercoaster, haha. I hit a rough patch with my mental health in Jan/Feb, bad enough that I came really close to cancelling my entire album rollout and release. I had bronchitis for two and half months straight in the middle of summer, cancelled my US shows back in April, and tried twice - unsuccessfully - to book an Ontario/Quebec tour for myself (if you happen to love booking tours for artists, please DM me, lol).
On the upside, Devours morphed into a two-piece for a lot of shows this year - my friend Dave joined me on drums, and it's been really special. Another cool thing is that I was hired to write and produce all of the songs (about two dozen) for a Canadian TV series for kids. If you have a 4 year-old, I will happily send you a link to the show when it premieres! Should be out soon. Oh and I worked at a firefighter training facility for a month! Random, but interesting - plus two of the guys were hot.
The biggest moment of the year came in September, when I decided to go back to school.... for something completely unrelated to music or the arts. Ever since I was 5, every fibre of my being has known that I was destined for the arts - so leaving it behind, even if it's temporary, has brought out a lot of fascinating, bitter, exciting, conflicted emotions in me. Adulthood is hard, and nothing is making a ton of sense at 41, but ...I'm trying to figure it out.
Anyways, I hope you all had a good year. I have some tricks up my sleeve for 2026, so I'll be seeing you around......
❤️

I have decided that today is Dave Prowse Appreciation Day. First, some context:
Some of you know this and some of you don't, but Dave used to drum in a local two-piece named . In his mid-twenties, he entered the 1% of musicians who enter the fame bubble, get worshipped by American music publications, go on world tours, and experience the absolute insanity of the industry Big Leagues. It's a dream trajectory that a lot of us aim for - but for Dave, it actually happened. It warps almost everyone who comes into contact with it; most of them get so weird and self-obsessed and lost in their own heads that they end up moving to a small village in Tibet after a year or two in the spotlight. But Dave is special in that he maintained a level head, stayed local, and stayed involved in Vancouver's music community. I am so, so proud of him - for his ethics, his passion, his ability to not go insane - and I am so happy to be playing music with him. He's been drumming for me this year, and I think we're going to keep going next year! Dave also drums for my friend, the underrated psych-rock auteur , so I'm grateful that he has made some time for me.
If you appreciate Dave (), post a random emoji in the comments section! 😄
