๐Ÿฒ Community Kitchen at Oak Care Centre!

Residents from Oak Care Centre and Cambie Gardens joined CARMA peers and community members for a meaningful Community Kitchen gathering, coming together to share a meal and meaningful conversation in a welcoming space.

These monthly gatherings foster connection and shared experiences over a warm meal. This monthโ€™s menu featured homemade bannock tacos, bringing everyone together through food and community.

Thank you to all who helped create these moments of belonging, inclusion, and connection. ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŽฎ Gaming should be for everyone!

Our Peer Team members, Alex and Nicole represented TFL at Kwantlen Polytechnic University's All Access Play: Gaming, Inclusion and Accessibility event during Accessibility Week.

Nicole, a KPU alumna, and Alex shared their experiences and insights on accessible gaming, highlighting the importance of designing games, learning environments, and technology that are inclusive of people with diverse accessibility needs. They also spoke about Technology for Living's work in advancing accessibility and our partnership with CPABC.

A big thank you to KPU for bringing together educators, students, advocates, and community organizations to explore how we can build more accessible and equitable spaces in game design and digital arts. Conversations like these help drive meaningful change toward a future where everyone has the opportunity to play, learn, and create.

Together, we're making accessibility part of the game. ๐Ÿ’™
