Each day brings new change. Transformation is a foundational story telling element in many Squamish legends. It can be a form of honouring a pivotal role that someone has played in history or a cautionary tale to those who could make similar mistakes. Like the cycle of the salmon we all will return to the earth one day, and the ways we have transformed will determine how our stories are told.

You can't be selected for every art call you apply for... but if you keep making stuff that you think is cool you will end up with a collection of art that is cool. On a completely unrelated note here is a cool kaiju sized double headed serpent 😅
I was lucky enough to work with Squamish Hereditary Chief Janice George and Buddy Joseph on an animation project this year. Working with a team that specializes in Unreal Engine rendering, I provided characters and graphic design. Here is one of the characters who I based on a story told to me by Janice George Siam. The story is of a man who climbs a mountain and transforms into a goat.
