Today's inspection broke my heart. The client had such big dreams for this home. I cannot show the outside of it because it is highly recognizable.
The foundation was full of cracks both minor and major. Some were wider than 1.5 inches. I can see one or two cracks being repairable, but in this case the whole structure would need to be raised and a new foundation be put in place. A big burden to bear on an already hefty price tag.

Dear Realtors in Pictou County or anywhere else for that matter.
Cameras are a great security feature for any home, however as you'll see in the photo below, they can also be problematic as they can jeopardize the sale of a home.
In the photo below the gentleman has made a Facebook post regarding the Realtor sitting on his chair while the Home Inspector, inspects the rental unit. Sitting on a chair is unacceptable behaviour according to the gentleman who made this public outcry in a Facebook post.

Please make your clients aware of any cameras and listening devices that are in or around the home during viewings and or home inspections as those visits to the property is for the Buyers advantage and anything discussed should be private between the buyer, realtor and or home inspector.

Buyers and Sellers do not meet for good reason, and all interaction between the buyer, their realtor and home inspector should not be spied upon by the seller or any tenants.

Please Note: this was not my home inspection. I always make clients and realtors aware of any cameras and or listening devices.

God love ya's and I'll see ya at the next home inspection.
