We are excited to announce that we have a new member joining our Gypsy River family! Welcome Dwayne Cormier! Dwayne will be the one delivering the beats in the band as our new drummer. He is a seasoned musician, a great fit and we look forward to working with him! We would like to thank the rest of the drummers that came out to audition! It was definitely a tough decision as you all did an excellent job. Catch Dwayne this Saturday with us at the Elm Tree in Amherst! It’s going to be a great time! Welcome to the family Dwayne!

It’s with mixed emotions that we have to say goodbye to Justice Sanford as our drummer 😞. Justice graciously stepped up to the plate and became part of the Gypsy River family after the unexpected passing of our beloved Sean McKenna 💔. We wish Justice nothing but the best in his many musical endeavours! You can catch him with Vandal Eyes and be sure to download his music on Spotify with his own project Youth Among Us. Justice is a great talent and an even greater person 💞. You will still see him performing with us from time to time 😊.

On that note, we are actively looking for a new drummer. We are a high energy band so we are looking for someone who is energetic, dynamic and willing to learn new tunes as we expand our set list. We play a diverse mix of country, classic rock and pop and we are a busy band, especially throughout the summer as we play a lot of Campgrounds and Festivals. We are based out of Truro, so practice in this area must be feasible for you. We also play all over mainland Nova Scotia and have a Cape Breton gig in the summer so you must be willing to travel. You must have your own kit (acoustic or electric) however if you have both that would be ideal as some venues require an electric kit. ( Rob does have one that he can provide for those if need be ).
