I love this quote. It’s been hanging on my wall in the studio for many years now. Comfort and certainty are often the biggest barriers to growth, both in golf and in life. It’s easy to stick with what feels safe, but true change comes when we step into the discomfort and challenge ourselves to push beyond it.
I’ve seen it time and again—those who embrace the journey, who are willing to confront uncertainty/the unknown and lean into the energy required for change, are the ones who grow. And yet, even as we improve, uncertainty never disappears. That’s part of the beauty of the process: growth is a never-ending journey that requires us to keep showing up, keep challenging ourselves, and keep striving for better.
