What You’ll Do:

Lead and manage enterprise-scale IT modernization and cybersecurity programs focusing on protecting Ontario’s CVAs.

Oversee Data Projection and Information Security projects with senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Develop, implement, and review security architectures, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, encryption, and database activity monitoring tools like IBM Guardium.

Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate project status and security posture to executive leaders.

Champion “security by design” principles, embed best practices, and ensure operational readiness for ongoing security support.

Required Skills:

Proven leadership in managing high-impact enterprise security and cybersecurity programs.

Extensive experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), enterprise database monitoring (preferably IBM Guardium), encryption, and identity/access management (IAM).

Deep understanding of security controls such as network security, firewalls, MFA, PKI, cloud security, and SOAR tools.

Strong project management skills with proficiency in methodologies like PMBOK, ITIL, or ISO 27001.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, communication, and executive reporting skills.

Ability to assess, strategize, and implement security solutions in complex environments.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with health data initiatives aligned with Ontario’s integrated health data vision.

Knowledge of Ontario’s health data legislation such as PHIPA and involvement in projects supporting the “Connected and Convenient Care” plan.

Familiarity with government regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.

Currently seeking an Project Manager (Utilities experience & PMP Certification) for a long term contract. (with up to 4 one year extensions)

Onsite: Regina, Saskatchewan

Candidate must have at least five (5) years professional experience in the management of large Information Technology projects.

Candidate must have a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

The candidate will preferably have the following skills:

1. Natural gas transmission and distribution / utility experience,

2. Demonstrated proficiency in the role of a project manager, with a strong track record of successfully delivering implementations. This includes experience in managing assigned scope, adhering to schedules, and maintaining project budgets,

3. Excellent written, oral and listening communication skills with audiences varying from end users to C-Level management,

4. Experience in the project management of large, complex information technology Projects (e.g., implementing Customer Information System based solutions, etc.),

5. Proven experience successfully delivering work management, asset management and inventory management solutions in the role of a project manager

6. Proven experience successfully implementing Complex Integrated Solutions in the role of a project manager,

7. Proven experience successfully managing vendor relationships and managing vendor relationships and commitments in the role of a project manager,

8. Proven experience in using Project Management methodologies or other delivery methodologies such as RUP, Waterfall, Agile, and Six Sigma, to ensure project satisfaction,

9. Experience in implementing business transformation projects that require significant process redesign and people impacts,

10. Experience in SharePoint,

11. Group facilitation experience,

12. Proven experience as a strong problem solver and in making decisions and recommendations,

13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members,

14. Proven leadership skills and leadership roles in career,

15. Experience in integrating transformational level change management activities into a project plan and schedule
