It’s very common for lighter haired clients to be nervous about doing a tint because they don’t want it to look too dark. Sometimes the tint is not needed but 80% of the time it improves the lamination.
If a client is nervous, I take my lightest brow tint and apply a quick layer, only leaving it in for 15-30 seconds max per brow. The hair picks up the colour much quicker after a lamination, so you really have to be careful. From there, you can decide if you want to add a little bit more or not. I also will go back in with the tint to spot treat the patchy areas. Always show the client first to see if they would like to go darker. That way, no one leaves with scary brows and some of the gaps are filled in.

What exactly is Lip Blush and what does it do?
Lip Blush is a semi permanent cosmetic lip tattoo that last about 2-3 years. It’s not the same as the old school lip tattoo. It’s not meant to look like lipstick but rather to enhance the natural color, shape, and definition of your lips.
A machine is used to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin, much more softly than traditional tattoos.
Consultation: Procedure takes about (2–3 hours)
Healing (7–10 days) Lips may look darker at first, then fade to a softer tone
Touch-up (6–8 weeks later). This is where we refine color for longevity.
Yearly touch ups should be done to maintain or you can let it fade out on its own. Lip blush actually does fade out on its own when done correctly.
