Susan Osher, Connected Eating
Do you have a grounded place you can return to when life feels chaotic?
For me, one of those places is Central Park in New York.
It’s where I’ve taken my children to the water parks, gone on long walks, had picnics, and finished the New York Marathon. In the middle of the rush and noise of the city, it has always felt steady, safe, and beautiful.
The trees, the birds, the open space, the familiarity. It brings me back to myself.
Sometimes we can physically go to the places that ground us. Other times, we can return to them in our imagination.
So I’m wondering…
Where is your grounded place?
A place that helps you feel calmer, safer, or more connected when things feel like a lot.

June 2nd is World Eating Disorders Action Day.
This day brings together people with lived experience, families, clinicians, researchers, and advocates around the world to raise awareness and call for better support.
This year’s theme is Stop Stigma. Start Care. Together.
Eating disorders are serious, treatable illnesses. They are not choices, phases, signs of vanity, or something someone can “just stop.”
They are complex conditions shaped by biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors.
Stigma can delay support and make people feel misunderstood, dismissed, or afraid to ask for help. Accurate information matters. Compassionate care matters. Early support matters.
For anyone affected by an eating disorder, or supporting someone who is, you deserve care that is informed, respectful, and rooted in understanding.
You are worthy of support, today and every day 💚
