DOG PADDLING ADVENTURES

Hi friends! Anyone else have a pup who gets ice balls in their paws? Jess never had this but Finnley (who wants to live outside in the snow) keeps getting balls of ice through his paws and it seems very uncomfortable. Any suggestions? He has long retriever type hair.

Question for those with a long haired dog. Do you groom them? Finn has long hair (kinda a mix between a lab and a golden retriever) and he loves to swim and go in swamps!! I have been bathing him but wondering if we should be taking him to a groomer for trims?

Hey everyone! Finn has a skin condition because he was abandoned outside for a week or so in the cold. The vet gave us a rinse to use in the bath once a week but wondering if any you can suggest a natural remedy we can use to relieve his itching. Thanks!

Hey everyone! We wanted to share some exciting news with you all. After many months of research and soul searching we are so thrilled to have adopted this little cutie pie who was found in a snow bank in Thunder Bay. We cannot thank the wonderful volunteers at Just Paws Animal Rescue enough for the incredible work that they do and the love and care they took with us. Now to name this little handsome boy!!! Help us decide between Finnley, Ryder & Tucker!

Last night we we said goodbye to our girl Jessie. She has been so brave & so strong as she battled these last few months. Yesterday she enjoyed a beautiful hike around Bond Lake, her eyes were bright & her tail wagged as she looked at the lake she enjoyed countless days at. Jessie has brought so much love and companionship to all who met her. She was loyal and gentle and what she loved most was to just be with us. Whether on a hike, canoe trip, winter adventure or just walking the kids to the bus each day. Her tail wagged with happiness every day of her life.

Jessie led the way on hundreds of adventures with so many of your dogs and we can't thank you enough for sharing in these memories with us over the last 15 years and for all of your love and support as Jessie went through some tough times. We were so blessed to have her in our family for 15 years and it is impossible to imagine our family without her. Our hearts are broken and we will forever miss her cuddles. Hug your pups a little tighter today for us.
