Dearest Angie,

I am so honoured to have attended your Celebration of Life. It’s been a month now, since that memorable day.

What a beautiful day it was ☀️

The sun was shining bright. The birds were singing sweetly. The warm breeze blew gently through the tall, strong oak trees above us.

I attended, with two of your other friends from Belleville. We know you as a loyal and kind confidant, a fun and creative soul, and a skilled and confident therapist.

You are a light to us all ✨

This theme was repeated over and over as each person stood to celebrate you. As they told their stories, it was clear how much they love you, and how deeply you love them.

Again, and again, your loved ones described your passion and fire, your laughter and joy, your vulnerability and sweetness. They talked of how you inspire them, guide them, protect them, and love them - and will continue to do so, wherever you are now.

A song was played that tugged at all of our heart strings. I could see clearly why it had been chosen for you. It mostly spoke to how much light you share, and how freely you give love.

I've sat with my own interpretation of what I have both learned, and continue to learn from you, my dear friend. And I too feel as though a song, set to images (for the artist in all of us), is the most powerful way to share what you teach me.

Thank you for the gentle reminder, over and over, to return to innocence ✨
