Our founder, having grown up in Nigeria, realized there was a gap in how Nigerian meals were being represented in restaurants in Canada. Nigerian cuisine deserved more than the conventional approach—it needed to be elevated, respected, and delivered with warmth and community.

That’s when the idea for deBuka was born: to offer a taste of home with an innovative twist. By infusing authentic Nigerian flavours with global culinary techniques, deBuka was created to redefine what it means to enjoy Nigerian cuisine abroad.
