This is the biggest calf farm in the world, near Green Bay, Wisconsin. Young dairy cows will spend part of their adolescence, alone, night and day, in one of these prison cells aka calf hutches. The hutches are designed to minimize the risk of contracting illness from another calf. Can you imagine the isolation and loneliness? Hour after hour. Day by day. Night after night. ▪️The Dairy factory farm is a mega industrial complex of systematic brutality and denial of any compassion toward animals. Daily practices deny the mother cow's bond with her baby, the baby calf's natural needs for maternal love, security and comfort; and all social interaction natural in animal groups. As a cow only produces milk as part of the pregnancy cycle, from the age of 15 months, she will be artificially inseminated (r***d) to keep her in a constant state of lactation. Farmers mechanically draw semen from a bull, and force the cow into a narrow “rape rack”, to forcibly impregnate her. She will endure this disgusting abuse and deprivation the rest of her life year after year▪️Like human mothers, cows gestate nine months, then lactate for the sole purpose of nourishing their young. However, their babies will typically be removed in less than 36 hours from birth-to keep the milk for production. Wildlife experts say bonding between cow and calf is formed quickly after birth. Following this callous separation, the mother will cry for days, in despair for her stolen calf. The constant cycle of forced pregnancy and breeding creates a huge surplus of male calves. 🔹21,000,000 male dairy calves are slaughtered for veal or cheap beef every year globally. Male calves are isolated in these same kind of desolate concentration camps until sent to slaughter. Overworked, deprived of their babies, deprived of life and freedom to be what nature intended, cows become exhausted, producing less milk than the quota demanded of them, at 4 to 5 years of age. A broken shell of a soul, she is sent to slaughter. Please consider breaking from this cruel insane system. Cow milk is for baby calves.
